1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Catalog. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Catalog platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Catalog ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using any part of our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
2. Your Account
To access most features of Catalog you must register for an account. When creating your account you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information (including your full name and email address).
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party.
- Notify us immediately at info@catalogapp.in if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently, in violation of these Terms, or in a manner that could harm other users or the integrity of our platform.
3. User Content
Catalog allows you to post reviews, ratings, restaurant logs, curated lists, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of User Content you create, but by posting it you grant Catalog a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.
You agree that your User Content will not:
- Be false, misleading, or defamatory.
- Infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Contain hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content.
- Include spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional material.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including Indian law.
We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem, in our sole discretion, to be harmful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.
4. Acceptable Use
When using Catalog you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Service without our express written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to create accounts or interact with the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its related systems.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Service to engage in any illegal activity or to solicit others to engage in illegal activity.
5. Intellectual Property
The Catalog name, logo, design, software, and all content produced by us (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to Catalog and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or its content without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features.
6. Third-Party Services
Catalog may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services (for example, mapping or restaurant data providers). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability. Your use of any third-party service is entirely at your own risk.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Any information (including restaurant details or user reviews) is accurate, complete, or up to date.
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Catalog and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@catalogapp.in. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including a violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, though provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership and disclaimers) will continue to apply.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India. We encourage you to contact us first at info@catalogapp.in so we can try to resolve any issue directly.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example, via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Your continued use of Catalog after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
